Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has said the institutions established by his administration are designed to strengthen governance and ensure continuity beyond his tenure.
The Governor stated this on Thursday while commissioning the newly constructed office complex of the Oyo State Rule of Law Enforcement Authority (OYRLEA). He identified OYRLEA, Amotekun, OYSADA, OYMASED, OYACA and the Oyo State Project Performance Monitoring Agency as institutions established to support governance and long-term development.
Makinde emphasised that the rule of law is central to good governance, public order, security and economic growth. He also commended OYRLEA Chairperson, Justice Aderonke Aderemi (rtd.), for her commitment to the Authority.
In his goodwill message, Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, highlighted OYRLEA’s role in enforcing laws on environmental protection, sanitation, waste control, road traffic management, and open rearing and grazing. He urged residents and other stakeholders to cooperate with the Authority.
Earlier, Justice Aderemi described the new office complex and the unveiling of OYRLEA’s maiden magazine as milestones in strengthening law enforcement and promoting the rule of law in the State.
