Leadership Dismisses APC Defection Speculation as Unfounded

The leadership of the Boye Nation Movement has dismissed recent speculation over the political affiliation of its leader, Hon. Ajiboye Akande Sangogade, popularly known as Boye Nation, reaffirming his continued commitment to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).

The Movement said unequivocally that Sangogade remains a committed and loyal member of the APM and has no intention of returning to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The clarification follows reports and social media speculation arising from a recent meeting between Sangogade and Barr. Seyi Tinubu.

According to the Movement, the meeting was purely a social engagement between two longstanding friends and had no political implications. It stressed that the interaction should not be interpreted as a political realignment, defection or indication of any impending move to the APC.

The Movement urged the people of Oyo State, APM members and supporters across the country to disregard the reports, describing the speculation as unfounded and misleading.

It further stated that Sangogade remains focused on strengthening the APM, consolidating its grassroots structures and supporting the party and its candidates ahead of the forthcoming elections.

“Our commitment to the Allied Peoples Movement is clear, firm and unwavering. Personal relationships should not be mistaken for political realignment. Our focus remains the growth, consolidation and success of the APM,” the Movement said.

The leadership also appealed to supporters to remain calm and focused, assuring them that there has been no change in Sangogade’s political allegiance.

The Movement reaffirmed that the APM remains its political platform and that its commitment to the party remains resolute.
