Egalitarian Hammed Owolabi Ishola, popularly known as Lamosagacious, has declared his readiness to mobilise support for the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) through a grassroots, door-to-door diaspora campaign, calling on Nigerians to unite in the quest to reset the country and build a future of equal opportunities.

Ishola, an impenitent GSM Advocate and Oyo Central Youth Coordinator for Governor Seyi Makinde’s re-election, made this known in a statement reflecting on his political journey, commitment to good governance and renewed determination to participate actively in the forthcoming campaigns and elections.

He explained that his longstanding support for Governor Seyi Makinde was motivated by the collective interests of the people rather than personal benefits, stressing that his political engagement has been driven by the desire to promote good governance and improve the lives of ordinary Nigerians.

According to him, his political commitment dates back more than two decades to his days at The Polytechnic, Ibadan, where he developed lasting relationships and became actively involved in issues concerning the welfare and development of the people.

Reflecting on questions from loved ones who recently saw him at the campaign office alongside Hon. Abimbola Adekanmbi, whom he described as the incoming governor, Ishola said his involvement in politics was not driven by the pursuit of personal rewards.

He maintained that his support for Makinde had always been based on collective progress, adding that his political philosophy remained anchored in service, fairness and opportunities for all.

The diaspora-based political advocate also spoke about his experience living abroad, noting that differences in political and social culture had strengthened his desire to reconnect with his roots and contribute to political mobilisation back home.

He declared that, with the official commencement of campaigns, he was launching a grassroots diaspora campaign from his present location, with plans to engage Nigerians and mobilise participation in the political process.

Describing himself as a pragmatic achiever, Ishola expressed confidence in his ability to pursue the objectives he had set for himself, while acknowledging his faith in God as a source of strength.

He said the proposed reset of Nigeria should focus on building a country where every citizen, regardless of family background or access to influential connections, could aspire to meaningful opportunities and achieve personal success.

“My father or mother wasn’t famous in Ibadan, but this struggle is no longer just about me; it is about every single Nigerian,” he stated, emphasising the importance of equal opportunities and a society in which ordinary citizens could fulfil their aspirations.

Ishola further outlined his political position around the APM, identifying the party’s guiding principle as “Nigeria First” and describing the proposed national reset as a collective undertaking requiring cooperation among political leaders and citizens.

He also identified Governor Seyi Makinde, FNSE, Hon. Abimbola Adekanmbi and other APM candidates as leaders whose participation he believes is relevant to the vision he is advocating.

Quoting the Yoruba adage, “Ẹnìkan kò kí n jẹ awade,” he underscored the importance of collective effort and collaboration in pursuing development.

The statement concluded with a renewed declaration of his political identity and commitment to good governance.

Ishola, who is popularly and politically known as Lamosagacious, described himself as an impenitent GSM Advocate, Oyo Central Youth Coordinator for GSM’s re-election and an advocate of good governance.

He reaffirmed his affiliation with the Allied Peoples Movement, identifying the cassava symbol as the party’s logo, while presenting the proposed reset of Nigeria as the central message of his ongoing political mobilisation.
