The candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for Ibadan South-West State Constituency II, Hon. Olakunle Akinsete, popularly known as Shete, says his campaign for the 2027 Oyo State House of Assembly election will put youth, women and community first.
Akinsete, who is contesting on the platform of the APM, unveiled his development blueprint tagged the “Shete Agenda,” which he says is centred on accessible representation, empowerment and community-driven growth.
Speaking on his aspiration, the APM candidate said the people of Ibadan South-West II need representation that listens and delivers practical solutions.
“Our focus is clear: youth empowerment, women inclusion and community development. We want to create real opportunities for young people, support women to grow their businesses and have a stronger voice, and ensure development reaches every ward,” he said.
According to him, the agenda is built on four pillars, skills acquisition and entrepreneurship for youths, economic support for women-owned businesses, improved attention to education and primary healthcare, and participatory, community-led projects.
Hon. Akinsete, known for his grassroots engagement across Ibadan South-West, said his background in public service and community work has given him a clear understanding of the needs of the constituency.
Supporters describe the APM candidate as a bridge between generations, connecting the energy and aspirations of younger voters with the experience and wisdom of elders.
His campaign message, now popular across the constituency, is captured in the slogan: That Your Guy! Te Fun Shete! with the tagline Competence. Commitment. Continuity.
The APM candidate is continuing consultations across wards in the local government as political activities build ahead of the 2027 polls.
