Hon. Abimbola Olanrewaju Osuntoki has urged the people of Akinyele Local Government to put aside divisions and embrace unity, tolerance and a shared sense of purpose in the collective pursuit of sustainable development.

Osuntoki made the appeal while addressing residents in a goodwill message, where he emphasized the importance of maintaining peaceful relationships across the various communities that make up Akinyele.

He noted that while residents may differ in political affiliations, religious beliefs, backgrounds and personal opinions, such differences should not undermine the common interests that bind them together as people of the same local government.

According to him, the real strength of any community is measured by the ability of its people to work together, resolve differences peacefully and support one another in times of need.

He maintained that a peaceful environment is essential for economic activities, community development and the creation of opportunities for young people, women and other vulnerable groups.

Osuntoki therefore called on community leaders and residents to promote dialogue whenever disagreements arise, rather than allowing differences to degenerate into unnecessary conflicts.

He also encouraged residents to cultivate the spirit of mutual respect, stressing that listening to different perspectives remains critical to building trust and strengthening relationships among the people.

“Akinyele is our collective home, and its future cannot be built through division. We must recognize our shared responsibilities and work together to create the kind of society we want our children and future generations to inherit,” he said.

The Akinyele-born politician further appealed to residents to always place the collective interest above personal considerations, describing unity as a powerful tool for achieving meaningful and lasting progress.

He expressed confidence that the people of Akinyele, working together with sincerity and determination, could overcome existing challenges and build stronger, safer and more prosperous communities.

Osuntoki concluded by wishing residents continued peace, good health, prosperity and success, while calling for renewed commitment to unity, tolerance, peaceful coexistence and collective progress across Akinyele Local Government.
