Hon. Osuntoki Abimbola Olanrewaju, popularly known as Omo-Ola 1, has expressed his commitment to championing greater development in Akinyele Local Government, with a focus on improved governance, effective service delivery, and inclusive leadership.

In a statement issued by his media team, Osuntoki said his interest in leading the local government stems from concerns over what he described as the council’s underperformance, which he noted has contributed to stagnation and slowed development across the area.

He stated that his vision is to restore Akinyele Local Government to greater heights through purposeful administration and people-oriented policies, stressing that every resident should have a sense of belonging in governance and benefit from development initiatives.

Osuntoki also emphasized the importance of respecting the existing political arrangement on power rotation, maintaining that it is the turn of Constituency 1 to produce the next chairman. He appealed to party leaders and stakeholders to uphold the zoning understanding with fairness and impartiality.

Reaffirming his commitment to the people of Akinyele, Osuntoki pledged to work with all stakeholders to promote sustainable development, strengthen local governance, and ensure effective administration if given the opportunity to serve.
