The Leader of the House, Ibadan North East Legislative Council, Hon. Abdulmajeed Adekola Igbalajobi, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim faithful across Oyo State and Nigeria on the occasion of the 2025 Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
In his message, Hon. Igbalajobi congratulated Muslims for witnessing another Eid in good health, describing the festival as a sacred period that embodies the values of sacrifice, devotion, humility, and compassion.
“Eid-el-Kabir is not just a celebration; it is a reflection of our willingness to submit to the will of Almighty Allah, as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (AS). It teaches us the essence of faith, sacrifice, and care for others, especially the less privileged,” he said.

The lawmaker urged Nigerians to use the season to promote love, unity, and religious tolerance, emphasizing that peaceful coexistence remains the cornerstone of national progress and community development.
“In this season of sacrifice, let us also sacrifice hatred, division, and intolerance. Let us strengthen the spirit of togetherness across all communities and work collectively toward a better Ibadan North East and a more united Nigeria,” he added.
Hon. Igbalajobi, known for his legislative advocacy and commitment to grassroots development, reiterated the importance of servant leadership, community service, and youth empowerment—principles which he said reflect the teachings of Islam and the message of Eid.
He urged residents to celebrate responsibly and to remain prayerful for the peace and progress of the state and the country at large.
“I wish all Muslims in Ibadan North East, Oyo State, and beyond a joyful and blessed Sallah celebration. May Allah accept our sacrifices and prayers, and may this season usher in renewed hope, peace, and prosperity for our people. Barka da Sallah!”
