In a continued effort to ensure the efficiency and impact of the Sustainable Action for Economic Recovery (SAfER) initiative of Oyo State Governor, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde (FNSE), the Chairman and Sole Administrator of Pace Setter Transport Company, Dr. Ibrahim Salami Dikko, recently embarked on an inspection tour across the company’s terminals.
During the inspection, Dr. Dikko assessed the operations and performance of the SAfER transport scheme, noting remarkable progress and improvements in service delivery to the people of Oyo State.
Speaking after the tour, Dr. Dikko expressed satisfaction with the implementation of the program, stating that the initiative is currently transporting over 42,000 commuters daily across different routes within the state.

He praised Governor Seyi Makinde for the visionary leadership behind the SAfER program, which he described as a timely intervention in mitigating transportation challenges and boosting economic activities for the citizens.
“This is a clear demonstration of people-centered governance. With over 42,000 people being transported daily through the SAfER buses, we are not only easing the burden of transportation costs, but also contributing to the state’s overall economic recovery,” Dr. Dikko stated.
He assured residents of the company’s unwavering commitment to maintaining high standards in line with the governor’s transformation agenda, while also encouraging passengers to continue supporting the scheme.
The SAfER initiative is one of Governor Makinde’s key social intervention programs aimed at cushioning the effect of fuel subsidy removal and revitalizing the state’s economy through affordable transportation and other strategic sectors.
