As the build-up to the 22nd National Sports Festival in Ogun State reaches feverish pitch, the athletes of Team Oyo are leaving no stone unturned.

The prestigious Babcock University in Ilishan Remo has been a beehive of activities with coaches of various sports conduct drills to keep the athletes in shape. The boxing and kickboxing teams were seen sweating it out as they fixed their gaze on the prize. Abideen Ayinla, Head Coach of the boxing team said with the support of the Oyo State government, they are set to excel at the game. Re-echoing these thoughts was the Wushu Kung-fu coach Oseni Rufai Olufunke.

Ahead of Sunday’s opening ceremony, Abeokuta is now wearing a new look. Nigeria’s Vice President Kashim Shettima will be headlining the invited guest as he declares the games officially open.
